Very sorry to hear about both Doker and Percy. Whilst my memories of Doker were mainly in connection with Miscellany, the Jazz band with Percy it was the field trips - Saltburn and Northumberland - that stick in my mind. Both proved valuable professionally later as I work in music education and have taken large groups to Canada and Australia.
A belated thanks to both these dedicated teachers.

I did not have the pleasure of being taught by Peter - I attended Paston from 1949-1956 but my wife and I became the very best of friends with Nan and Peter when I returned to Paston as a master (1962-66) . We kept in touch over many years after I moved to Canada. I have lost a treasured friend and onetime colleague.

He was a very fine man..

I had the great pleasure of being taught by Peter, A level geography 1984 to 86

He was an inspirational teacher, old style, but got us through our exams. This and other exams I have taken over the years stood me in great stead for a most enjoyable and rewarding career

Thanks Percy!
